The brand came to life when Founder, Justin Salisbury, dropped out of uni to help reinvent the family B&B on Brighton seafront. Inspired by the local art scene, he called upon local artists to breathe new life into the property. Years on, Artist Residence is now an established independent hotel group, with art-centric boutique properties in the most idyllic spots across the UK.

'I Can Resist Everything Except Temptation 2019', print release at the event

The Connor Brothers release an exclusive limited edition print and host dinner at Artist Residence London all in aid of mental health charity, CALM.

When compiling the 2019 events programme for Artist Residence, we wanted to create experiences for the guests to enjoy whats at the heart of the brand - art, in a more personal way. Being one of the most featured and talked about artists at Artist Residence, it only seemed right to collaborate with British duo, The Connor Brothers to kick start and introduce the new art events to guests and the public.

On 9th May, The Connor Brothers hosted an intimate 3 course dinner at Artist Residence London in aid of mental health charity, CALM. Guests were welcomed with cocktails provided by Fair Drinks, and whilst mingling had exclusive first access to purchase 'I Can Resist Everything Except Temptation 2019', a signed limited edition print released on the night. An introduction from Ben Hawley, Marketing and Communications Director at CALM, was followed by a small talk by The Connor Brothers, just before dinner was brought to the table by the talented chefs at Cambridge Street Kitchen.

All profits from ticket and print sales from the event have been donated CALM, which The Connor Brothers have a personal connection to and are official ambassadors for. The Connor Brothers have raised thousands for the charity through talks, events and fundraisers. The tickets to the event sold out within a day and all prints were sold on the night of the event raising over £8,000.

Whilst numbers on the night were limited to 30, we extended the opportunity to raise further funds for CALM by creating a ballot, with £10 entry, in which one lucky winner had the chance to get their hands on one of the prints, plus a nights stay in The Grand Suite at Artist Residence London, where The Connor Brothers grace the walls. All entries fees from the ballot were also donated to CALM.
